The tour begins with a walk through the permanent exhibition, which offers a fascinating glimpse into the history of SWS and its diverse product range.
You'll learn about the founding years, the first railway carriages, car bodies, and even aircraft that the company produced. The exhibition vividly illustrates how production evolved over the decades. The second part of the tour focuses on original parts and working exhibits of elevators that were used in buildings worldwide. The technical innovations and high-quality craftsmanship for which SWS products were renowned are highlighted. Finally, our guides explain the reasons behind the 1983 decision to close the company and
discuss its impact on the workforce.Prices:
- CHF 15.00 per person (plus admission), but at least CHF 150.00 per tour.
- The prices include an expert guided tour by our guides.
- Maximum group size: 60 participants.
Entrance fees, as well as any aperitifs and meals, will be charged separately.
